Stockholm's blackened death metal warriors Necrophobic have just launched a brand new video for the song “Revelation 666”, taken from their latest masterpiece Death To All! Check out the video below.

Necrophobic are one of very few bands left from the early Swedish black/death metal underground scene that is still going strong. Sharing members of Nifelheim, Trident and more the band are considered a cult act from the old days, yet also remain a potent source for inspiration for today's scene. Epic German metal band Avantasia recruited Scorpions vocalist Klaus Meine to perform guest vocals to the song 'Dying for an Angel' from the band's new album 'The Wicked Symphony,' which comes out May 4. A shortened version of the track can be streamed on frontman Tobias Sammet's Web site. The track features Sammet's vocals and bass, Sascha Paeth on guitars and Kiss drummer Eric Singer hitting the skins.

'The Wicked Symphony' will be one of two new Avantasia albums. The other, 'Angel of Babylon,' a digital-only release, is also available May 4.

"I have always given my very best, but this new chapter in Avantasia's history too ambitious to be just a regular album," Sammet said. "I knew the story would be spread out over two albums when we started working on it in 2006, 'cause we had written a real rock opera of over 20 songs even back then. [This] may be the last big epic I will be able to afford, and I want it to be the biggest piece I have worked on so far."

In addition to Meine and Singer, the two albums feature other major guest stars, including Michael Kiske (ex-Helloween), Tim 'Ripper' Owens (ex-Judas Priest), Jon Oliva (Savatage), Bob Catley (Magnum), Jorn Lande (Masterplan), Russell Allen (Symphony X), Jens Johansson (ex-Dio, Stratovarius), Andre Matos (ex-Angra), Bruce Kulick (ex-Kiss, ex-Meat Loaf) and more.

Unfortunately the Theatre is closing down. The pioneers of atmospheric gothic metal Theatre of Tragedy are officially parting ways. In a collective message from the band: "After nearly 17 years in existence Theatre of Tragedy decided to call it a day and close down. This has not been an easy decision and we have thought about this for a long long time. We finally agreed to this during the production of our latest album Forever Is The World.

Theatre of Tragedy will come to an end on October 2, 2010, exactly 17 years after we started making music together. Over the years all of us have strived to combine Theatre of Tragedy with everyday life but in the end it has proven more and more difficult. We have come to appreciate our family lives and jobs, which makes it very hard to continue this life of rock 'n' roll on the road.

We know that some of you will probably be very disappointed, but we also hope you will continue to listen to our music, which all of you learned to appreciate and love so much.

We want to thank everyone of you for all your support over the past 17 years! TTheatre of Tragedy wouldn't have been possible without you! Be sure to catch us on the last TTheatre of Tragedy shows ever this year! The final gig will take place on October 2nd in Stavanger, where it all began.

Our music will live on... and forever is the world."

Dragonforce Reissue Two First Albums

Spinefarm Records is pleased to announce the reissue of Valley Of The Damned and Sonic Firestorm — the first two full-lengths from Grammy nominated UK extreme power metallers Dragonforce! Both titles will street Tuesday February 23, 2010 and feature updated packaging and bonus audio and DVD content.

Formed in 1999, Dragonforce issued their Valley Of The Damned debut in 2003 — an impressive nine-track showcase of their accomplished power metal forays. Containing a host of songs that still rank amongthe most popular of their output including "Black Fire," "Evening Star" and the title track itself, Valley Of The Damned has been remixed and remastered to allow every aspect of the recording to make maximum impact. "Fans who've heard the original mixes many times might find that the songs sound a bit different now," notes guitarist Herman Li, "but that's how we always wanted the original songs to sound. We just didn't have the time back then to make everything the way we wanted." Previously unreleased studio track "Where Dragons Rule" has now been added to the audio side while the bonus DVD features never-before-seen live footage ("Valley Of The Damned" filmed in Japan), behind-the-scenes material,  video commentaries, in-studio interviews and clips, all of it lovingly assembled by Li himself.

Their 2004 follow-up Sonic Firestorm gave the band the chance to hone their skills and push their fast-lane tales of fantasy to a whole new level. They were happy with the record and remain so to this day, which is why the mixing and the mastering remain untouched. Instead, Sonic Firestorm reissues comes with upgraded packaging, an extra track added ("Cry Of The Brave," a song the band wasn't initially comfortable with when it was first written) and a bonus DVD featuring more live footage from Japan, video commentaries, interviews and more.
