Swedish death metalers, Havok, formed in the year 2004 but the line-up wasn’t complete until late 2005 when Andreas Johansson joined. Havok entered the studio for the first time in 2006 to record their first, four tracked demo, “Realms of Reverie”. Havok were not overly satisfied with how the sound turned out, moving on composing the follow-up single, entitled "World Shroud". It was recorded at the end of 2006 at the Blacklodge Studio in Orkelljunga, and it was released in the beginning of February.

World Shroud” is a two tracked single. “The Ambulant Plague of Humans” is a pure Floridian death metal song. Blast beats in drums, growling vocals, technical guitars with nice riffs and breaks. I could say that is a mix of Cannibal Corpse and Death. “Season of the Locust” is slower and much more technical. Great guitars on that song with three (!) nice melodic solos. Overall a very good effort.

I believe that Havok will be famous very soon. "World Shroud" is decent demo that it is worth to buy and support the band. I expect from them a great full album soon.
