"Greek death metal legends Septic Flesh will reunite for one-off performance at the Metal Healing Festival, set to take place July 20-22 in Xanthi, Greece."Septic Flesh was a gothic-influenced death metal band from Athens, Greece with dark and macabre synth atmospherics.
Formed in 1990, the lineup stayed fairly stable over the years except on albums "The Ophidian Wheel" (one of my favorities death metal albums) and "A Fallen Temple" (1998), which featured a leading female vocalist, Natalie Rassoulis.
Their music combined hyper-fast technical death metal, melodic death metal, gothic metal, and industrial metal, a concoction that made them one of the most acclaimed yet still relatively unknown bands of the extreme metal category.
After nearly 14 years as a band, Septic Flesh split up in October 2003. THEDEVILWORX would be formed a year later by some former members. Chaostar was created in 1998, by the band's guitarist, Chris Antoniou, in which he continued to play after Septic Flesh disbanded.
