"-You don't understant what i mean! I haven't heard him sing like that in any song of Lacuna Coi until nowl!!"
That's how I started to say to a friend of my impressions about Lacuna Coil's new studio album. After I got over my surprise at the voice of Andrea Ferro(i really never heard him sing like that and i'm glad he tried to sing that way) i decided to catch a beer and sit to listen carefully their new album.
Βut let's take things from the beginning...
It was released by Century Media.
This is the first album to not feature long time drummer Cristiano "Criz" Mozzati and guitarists Cristiano "Pizza", who retired from the band on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2014, and Marco "Maus" Biazzi, who left the band just before recording sessions, making it the first album since their debut to feature other band members, and the first one completely recorded and mixed in Italy.
They were good albums(Shallow Life (2009),Dark Adrenaline (2012) , Broken Crown Halo (2014) ) but after a so great album (Karmacode(2006) ) i expected from them an even greater one (maybe i am wrong to expect something like that).
But they did it and they released something extraordinary.
I was impressed by their sound.
Delirium is the band's heaviest album so far and this brought me a smile.
That's how Lacuna Coil's sound should be in their next album after Karmacode.
Cristina Scabbia's voice is as usual. So great and beautiful!!
As for Andrea Ferro's vocals?
As i told before "The man really growls this time".
A great combination of voice, music, lyrics and energy makes Delirium an amazing album.
