R.I.P. Christopher Lee

On June 11 Sir Christopher Lee died at 93 years old as exclusively reported the British  Telegraph.co.uk.


The news of his death came with three days delay upon request of his wife to inform first members of his family.

The causes of his death are not yet known, but the reports indicate that he hospitalized in the last three weeks and had problems with his heart.

He became known for his role as Count Dracula in a series of popular Hammer Horror films.

Christopher Lee's first contact with heavy metal was in 2005 when he recorded a duet with Fabio Lione of Rhapsody of Fire, the «The Magic of the Wizard's Dream». Since then he has released two albums, the «Charlemagne: By the Sword and the Cross» and «Charlemagne: The Omens of Death», and four EP.

Last year, for the third consecutive year, he released a Christmas single, the «Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing». In 2013 he became the oldest artist that has succeed to enter charts.

In 2010 he was honored with the prize "Spirit of Metal" in Metal Hammer Golden God awards.

Rest in peace Sir Christopher Lee...
