The Cult will reportedly support The Who on a number of dates in Europe this summer. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.
The Cult is currently working on material for the group's first album since 2001's "Beyond Good and Evil". "We've got some ideas down, circulating," guitarist Billy Duffy told ChartAttack.com last week. "Each album gets its own life and while it's early to really tell with this one because it's in the formative stages, it still feels trashy and sort of ramshackle, which I like. Ian isn't singing with The Doors anymore and I think that's lifted his spirits for a Cult record, too."
The Cult current touring lineup includes principals Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy alongside bassist Chris Wyse, drummer John Tempesta (ex-Whit Zombie, Testament, Exodus, Helmet) and rhythm guitarist Mike Dimkich.
