Do you still searching for gift for this Christmas? Metal Hall eZine has the solution for you. We suggest you to buy something different this year. Try a cd!
Lets start with Twisted Sisters and the album “A Twisted Christmas”. Twisted Sisters decided to release an album with covers in known Christmas songs but also in their own songs! Don’t expect to listen to the classic carols but a combination of Hard Rock and Christmas melodies. The highlight of “A Twisted Christmas” is the combination of “We're not gona take it” and “Oh Come all Ye Faithful”. You can watch the video clip here.
Generally the album continues in same twisted rhythms! The sing “I'll Be Home For Christmas” together with Lita Ford. A hard solo on “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” while the “Heavy Metal Christmas (12 Days of Christmas)” is really funny.
On the other hand if you think that your gift will not be appreciated, then we suggest you the new cd from Tarja Turunen. Correct, she is the former singer of Nightwish. She couldn’t find any band to join her so she decided to release “Henkays Ikuisuudesta” which contains Christmas songs.
“Henkays Ikuisuudesta” has many known and unknown Christmas songs singed in various languages. Generally, the album focuses mainly in the voice of Tarja, which is mainly accompanied by a piano. In other words the exact opposite from Twisted Sisters and “A Twisted Christmas”.
The choise is your...and Merry Christmass
