"A Horse Called Golgotha", the new video from Savannah, Georgia's Baroness, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in the band's hometown with director Joshua Green for The Distillery Collective, who previously worked with the band on the "Wanderlust" video.
"A Horse Called Golgotha" comes off Baroness' second full-length album, "Blue Record", which sold around 4,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 117 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 1 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200. Released on October 13 via Relapse Records, the follow-up to 2007's critically acclaimed "The Red Album" was recorded in Dallas, Texas with producer/engineer John Congleton.
Baroness will embark on a full U.S. tour in support of "Blue Record" starting on November 18 in Washington, D.C. Guests on this month-long tour with include Earthless, Torche, Pig Destroyer, Us Christmas, Iron Age and more.
Baroness will make its Australian live debut as part of the massive Soundwave Festival. Other acts taking part in the event include Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, Afi, Meshuggah, Pennywise, Sunny Day Real Estate and Isis.
