When you hear that Hank Shermann (Mercyful Fate) and Craig Locicero and Mark Hernandez of Forbidden work together on a new project, this can only be good news. If you want a taste of kick-ass bay area thrash then watch the Demon Class, from the upcoming album Demonstrous, below.

"Demonstrous" track listing:

01. Demon Class
02. Ghost Hunt
03. My Tongue
04. Luscious Damned
05. Below Zero
06. Alien Six
07. Palace Of Glass
08. Fast And Furious
09. Summoned
10. Astronomica

The amazing artwork was created by Gustavo Sazes.

"We are totally stoked how this turned out and can't wait to get it out there," says Hank. "These 10 songs are the most thrashy and brutal songs I have ever played."

"We chose Dave for his extra edge and experience working with some of the most grinding bands around. We wanted a different approach to the mix than the standard these days, and he really nailed it."

Demonica is:

Hank Shermann (MERCYFUL FATE) - Guitar
Craig Locicero (FORBIDDEN) - Guitar
Klaus "Hyr" Hansen (BATTALION, TRAUMA CENTER) - Vocals
Mark Hernandez (FORBIDDEN, HEATHEN, DEFIANCE, VIO-LENCE) – Drums
Marc Grabowski (CORRUPTION) - Bass

Locicero recently stated about his involvement with Demonica, "It's a blistering thrash record written by Hank and our vocalist, Klaus Hyr. Klaus sounds like a man of fire! He has been passionate about thrash for a long, long time. Evidently, so was Hank.

"When Hank approached me to play guitar on his record... of course, I said 'hell yes!' The next step was to get Forbidden's drummer, Mark Hernandez, on board. Great move; Mark is awesome and really added a lot.

"It was a journey to make this album from start to finish. You have Hank and Klaus in Denmark; our bassist, Marc Grabowski, in Denver. Then Mark and myself living in the Bay Area. That's a worldwide metal union!

"Anyhow, this record is simply crushing! Relentless from top to bottom and full of Bay Area attitude. I think all metal fans will dig it. I call it unmercyful thrash!!! There is a lot of great stuff."

Who would ever think of a mash-up of Behemoth and Lady Gaga? Probably the same dude who mashed-up Meshuggah and Lady Gaga! Ok, this is sick, it is  pointless and I doubt  that it is fun... but for some reason I feel the obligation to post it.

"Follow The Rain", the new video from the Swedish female-fronted heavy rock band The Murder of My Sweet, can be viewed below. The song comes off the group's debut album, "Divanity", which was released on January 29 in Europe and February 9 in the USA on Frontiers Records.

The material selected for the band's debut album "Divanity" (a title describing a personal interpretation of diva, divine and vanity — all of them being essential ingredients in the record) includes all: from dark subject matters to pure fiction. "Kiss of Death" takes a glimpse into the state of love where you give up yourself for the desire to have or to do something that you know you should avoid, while "Bleed Me Dry" describes the feeling of being different and wanting to go your own way in life. "Follow The Rain" is all about breaking a pattern from where you make the same mistakes over and over again into becoming a person with control of your life, "Storms Of The Sea" is a beautiful tale of a young woman on her quest around the world to seek her long lost lover and "No Evil" is the band's encouragement to embrace the dark rather than being afraid of it.

"Divanity" track listing:

01. No Evil
02. Follow The Rain
03. Bleed Me Dry
04. Chemical Attraction
05. Kiss of Death
06. One Bullet
07. Tonight
08. Storms of the Sea
09. Destiny
10. Revolution
11. Valerie
12. Death of a Movie Star

The limited first edition in a digipack includes the bonus video clip "Bleed Me Dry". The digital edition on iTunes includes the exclusive bonus track "Mistaken".

Multi-national thrashers Nightrage recently travelled to Athens, Greece to film a video for the title track of their latest album, "Wearing A Martyr's Crown". The clip, which can be viewed below, was once again directed by Bob Katsionis, who previously worked with the band on the "Scathing" video (from Nightrage's previous album, "A New Disease Is Born"). Katsionis has also worked with such groups as Rotting Christ, Nightfall and Firewind.

Commented the band: "We [filmed the video] in the awesome, newly built Zero Gravity Studios, built and owned by Terry Nikas, who was kind enough to let us use the studio for both recording the video and rehearsing."

Check out photos from the video shoot below.

"Wearing A Martyr's Crown", the fourth full-length album from Nightrage, was released in North America on August 4, 2009 via Lifeforce Records. The CD was tracked at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström.

Guitarist Olof Mörck previously stated about the group's new material, "For Nightrage, the style of this record represents a journey back to the first couple of albums, but it's in no way a step back musically; there are some quite interesting arrangements on this album, the songs are straightforward and in-your-face, and it features both searing melodies and sheer brutality. All in all, it's a clear nod back to when the Gothenburg melodic death metal sound was at its peak, in '94-'98 (something we think a lot of people will agree with us on). "

Nightrage in 2007 recruited singer Antony Hämäläinen to replace Jimmie Strimell.

Nightrage is:

Antony Hämäläinen - Vocals
Marios Iliopoulos - Guitar
Olof Mörck - Guitar
Anders Hammer - Bass
Johan Nunez - Drums
